You rise early in the morning, set up a pristine space at a cute little wooden table,
throw in your favorite cup of tea or coffee, your favorite bible with the flawless,
crispy pages, and VOILA! You are now ready to meet with the Lord.
This is the Holy Grail combo deal of spiritual disciplines that a person can get in one
sitting. It usually involves Bible reading, reflection, prayer, journaling, solitude,
and—you guessed it—quiet. We are taught that it’s best to do it first thing in the
morning before you get your day started because then and only then will you be
ready to face the world.
Sounds incredible, doesn’t it? But let’s be honest: most of us are not meeting with
the Lord like this everyday.
I pray you see what God has seen in you all along. That the goodness and greatness of you come forward, and past hurt melts away. That you rediscover the amazing person you were before the pain.
Though this site is for and about spirit-led creatives, we want to leave a message for anyone who dares to dream.
You dare to see beyond your now, witness the vision God has for you, then go for it — quaking in your boots the entire way. We love you and are praying for you.
God, we pray for the dreams and us, the dreamers. We serve as vessels for your kingdom on Earth and we pray for all those who feel a swell of passion coming forth — knowing it is your Holy Spirit rising in them.
The first verb, first act, the first moment recorded in the centuries old text we hold so dear was one of creation. The practice of manifesting something from what was once nothing kick started this whole thing.
God wrote this text, so he made the choice to record creation first. This does not cancel out all other acts to follow, but it does position creation as first, primary, coming before all others.
I believe this gives us a peek into God’s insides…His inner voice…if he has one. We see what consumes his mind and urges His inspiration.
When faced with the endless void of pre-universe, He decided to paint the sky at sunset. He chose to compose the bird’s morning song. He chose to fashion the canyons and design the depths of the ocean floor. When allowed to do all or nothing, he chose to create.
He chose the be a creative…and so have we.
